  1. Recycling collection has been suspended in eastern Gwinnett as trash piles up. The combination of COVID-19 quarantines, labor shortages, inflation, holidays, and storms has caused a solid waste contractor to fall behind. Additional recyclable drop-off points have been designated for residents. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. A man robbed four Gwinnett jewelry stores and pepper-sprayed a bystander, police say. Jonathan Louis Weston was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail and booked on counts of robbery and battery. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. Gwinnett County officials warn of a new scam following 'high volume' of reports. Residents have been getting scam calls saying their loved ones have been taken into custody and that they need to deposit bond amounts through their credit cards or cash apps. The sheriff's office says they will never contact a resident directly concerning bonds. (11Alive.com WXIA)
