The project near North Gwinnett High includes the installation of a traffic signal and left-turn lanes on West Price Road, as well as curb and gutter and drainage improvements.

Money for that project is coming from the school-safety category in the 2014 special purpose, local-option sales tax program.

"I’m excited about these projects," District 1 Commissioner Jace Brooks said in a news release. "The additional connectivity and mobility at Gwinnett Place will make it easier for pedestrians and motorists to get around, and the intersection improvements at Suwanee Dam Road and West Price Road are much needed."
