🌱 JROTC Cadets Go National + Suwanee Beer Fest Success

Here are the top three stories in Duluth today:

  1. JROTC cadets from the Gwinnett County Public Schools have qualified for a national competition. Four teams from the local Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps are among a select group of eight teams from Georgia that will test their knowledge and leadership skills at the 2022 JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl this summer. The competition will take place in Washington, D.C. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  2. Shallowford Presbyterian Church, 20 minutes from Duluth, is hosting a benefit concert in support of Ukraine this week. The event titled, "Atlanta is United for Ukraine," will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 29, and will feature musical guests from organizations including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Chamber Players, Franklin Pond Chamber Music, Choral Guild of Atlanta, Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Shallowford Presbyterian adult and youth choirs.   3. The Suwanee Beer Fest brought a packed crowd and great times at Town Center Park. The celebration, which was skipped in 2020 and delayed until June of 2021 due to COVID, rang in its 11th year over St. Patrick's Day weekend as intended. Ultimately the event boasted 5,500 attendees to sample the 350 available brews offered. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
