🌱 K9 Clodo Sniffs Out 500 Lbs Of Drugs + County Paid Parental Leave
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Duluth.

Hey, neighbors! It's me again, Nicole Tess Kazora , your host of the Duluth Daily.
First, today's weather:
Partly sunny and cooler. High: 54 Low: 38.
Here are the top three stories today in Duluth:
- A Duluth K9 officer sniffed out over 500 pounds of marijuana just outside the city. The Gwinnett Metro Task Force requested the assistance of Klodo, a K9 officer with the Duluth Police Department, after receiving a drug tip in the area. Investigators report that once Clodo made the positive ID, officers discovered 533 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana inside a storage unit. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Effective this month, Gwinnett County is offering four weeks of paid parental leave to full-time county employees after the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child. The move comes nearly a year after Georgia started providing three weeks of paid parental leave to state workers. The new policy does not impose a mandate on private businesses in the county. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- If you're looking to add a new furry friend to your household, start with these adorable, adoptable pets in Duluth area shelters. Each week, Patch and Petfinder round up data on the dogs, cats, and more looking for their forever homes. This week's featured pets include Tinkerbell, a domestic short-hair cat ready to be adopted, and Cory, a Siberian husky in need of a foster family. (Duluth Patch)
