🌱 Kelly Kelkenberg Day + Judge Tracie Carson Seeks Re-Election

Here are the top three stories today in Duluth:
- On Monday (Feb. 14), Duluth Mayor Harris, Council Member Thomas, and Council Member Whitlock announced during a council meeting that Feb. 14, 2022 will now be known as Kelvin "Kelly" Kelkenberg Day in the City of Duluth. Kimberly Kelkenberg, the wife of Kelvin Kelkenberg, was presented with the proclamation for her late husband. Council Member Kelkenberg was in his third term after having served ten years on City Council when he passed away following a three-year battle with cancer in August of 2021. (Gwinnett Citizen)
- Gwinnett County Superior Court Judge Tracie Cason has announced she will be running for re-election and presented a bipartisan list of supporters who are backing her campaign. Cason was first elected to the bench in 2018 and is set to appear on the May 24 ballot. Nonpartisan elections, such as those for judicial seats, are held in conjunction with the state's primary election. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- On Friday, Feb. 18, Northside Hospital Healthcare System's ScreenAtlanta Mobile Mammography is returning to the Kroger parking lot at 3093 Steve Reynolds Blvd. The services include 2D and 3D screening digital mammography and will return to the same location on March 22, April 15, and April 29.
