The kids are sprucing up the playground at the location that LEO rents at EPIC Family Life Center. Their project includes power washing and sealing the equipment and replacing the wood chips. They will be completing the work in time for the EPIC Family Life Center & LEO Open House on Saturday, May 10.
“The kids have been responsible for all aspects of this project,” says volunteer coordinator Mercy Chaudron. “They figured out everything from determining the amount of wood chips needed, to figuring out the number of shovels, wheelbarrows and people needed to be able to accomplish the work in a certain time frame. They even watched the weather and forecasts to determine which would be the best day to schedule the work to be done.”
