Manager Stabbed In Neck After Firing Employee

A manager at On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantin​a was stabbed in the neck Friday after firing an employee, police say.

DULUTH, GA — A manager at On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina was stabbed in the neck area Friday after firing an employee, police say. The manager had severe wounds and was taken to the hospital.

Kesely Ingram, 44, from Duluth, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery by the Gwinnett County Police Department. The name of the manager was not released by police. He is still currently hospitalized with severe injuries.

Employees at the restaurant, located at 2275 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, told police that Ingram used a sharp object to stab his former boss with after he was fired. Ingram had been an employee of the restaurant for about 10 years.

After stabbing the manager, Ingram fled the scene, police say. While officers were responding to the restaurant, Ingram traveled to the Gwinnett County Police Department’s Central Precinct and turned himself in to detectives.
