- Eddie Owen Presents has announced many new shows to attend for this season! The show that is closest to today's date is Mike and the Moonpies performing at the Red Clay Music Foundry on October 20, 2021. - The Georgia Furniture Mart, located right off of I-85 headed towards Atlanta, has started offering some virtual and private appointments to view the furniture before you buy. This is in response to the growing coronavirus pandemic. (metroatlantaceo.com)
- Gwinnett County has decided to offer no convenience fees for online property tax payments that are paid online with a debit or credit card for a very limited time. The funds for this are very limited and could be depleted by October 15. Residents who still need to pay their property taxes are encouraged to do so as soon as possible so that these fees are waived. (On Common Ground News)
- Gwinnett is celebrating Hispanic Latino Heritage Month by having a cultural exhibit on display at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Atrium now through October 15. The exhibit will be displaying aspects of art, culture, sports, and food of various countries in Latin American. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Duluth's first Oktoberfest is happening this weekend and is bringing some axe throwing, local brews from Good Word Brewing, photo-ops, live music, and more! - The best weather ever led to a very large attendance at the Duluth Fall Festival last weekend! There was an expected crowd of 100,000 people, and that expectation was exceeded with people from all over the state coming out to enjoy Duluth's own kickoff to the Fall season.
