See It Here: Police Show Off Dance Moves in New Video

The Duluth cops take up the Running Man Challenge, the latest fad on the internet.

DULUTH, GA -- A dance sensation that's sweeping through social media has captured the Duluth Police Department.

It's called the Running Man Challenge, the latest in internet trends that brought us fads like the Harlem Shake, says the website Popsugar.com. A Google search will tell you that the dance is breaking out among police departments around the country, and the cops in Duluth have joined the fun.

In a video posted Thursday on their Facebook page, the Duluth police accept the Running Man Challenge from the Norcross Police Department. Officers do the running man dance to the strains of a 1990s song called "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJs. A bunch of kids and adults in town get involved - even a police dog jumps in. You can check out the video here.

It's truly a viral phenomenon, spreading to police departments throughout Georgia. On their Facebook page, the Norcross police say they accepted the challenge from the police in Monroe, and call out the police in Duluth, Suwanee and Lawrenceville.

The Running Man Challenge took off just a few weeks ago when two basketball players at the University of Maryland posted a video of their version, Popsugar reports. How far will it go? Keep an eye on your computer or smartphone screen.
