Happy Tuesday, neighbors! Here's everything you need to know going on locally today.

First, today's weather:

Intervals of clouds and sun. High: 72 Low: 58.

Here are the top three stories in Duluth today:

  1. A Gwinnett County judge has issued a 30-day temporary order banning authorities from cracking down on what they view as illegal cannabis extracts. In previous weeks, Gwinnett County District Attorney, Patsy Austin-Gatson and a task force raided two distributors of products containing Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC. Since then, two smoke shops have sued arguing the law needs clarification. In the coming days, another hearing will determine whether the restraining order will remain in place until the lawsuit is ultimately ruled on. Austin-Gatson also claims that children are overdosing on the products. (WSB Atlanta)
  2. Lanes have reopened on I-85 North just outside of Duluth after the Suwanee Police Department, as well as Gwinnett County Fire Department and Emergency Services, responded to a fatal crash and car fire. According to police, the crash involved a tractor-trailer and a van which resulted in the death of 32-year-old Jorge Zuno. SKYFOX reports the van was engulfed in flames and the front end appeared to be stuck in the trailer. This also caused a traffic slowdown as far south as Duluth Highway. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
