Two Shot And Killed at Duluth Gathering
A suspect, who police say invited the men over earlier in the day, was in custody Monday morning, police said.

DULUTH, GA — Two people were shot and killed Sunday night in Duluth by a man who had invited them over as friends, according to police.
Davon Dayron Jones, 24, of Duluth, was under arrest Monday on two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault. Gwinnett County Police say he shot and killed two men whom he'd invited over to his home earlier in the day Sunday.
The shooting happened shortly after 8 p.m. on the 2100 block of Hopkins Mill Lane.

A 911 caller said two men had been shot inside a home there. Upon arriving, Gwinnett County Police officers located one man who was dead from a gunshot wound and another man who was injured.
The second victim was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, where he later died from his injuries.

The 911 caller told authorities that the shooter ran away after the shooting.
According to police, the victims were friends of Jones and had been invited over to the home earlier in the day. Detectives are continuing to work to determine the cause of the shooting.
Police were not identifying the victims Monday morning because not all of their families had yet been notified.
