Gaelynn has been bewitching scores of fans with her experimental and ambient takes on fiddle music, an approach that incorporates her love of traditional tunes, songwriting, poetry and sonic exploration.

Of her live performances, Gaelynn Lea said, “My aim is to create a meditative, layered sound that allows the listener’s mind to drift.”

Gaelynn’s work most recently won NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest in March of 2016, a competition drawing submissions of original songs from more than 6,000 musicians across the country. Gaelynn Lea’s musical reach quickly expanded because of the Tiny Desk Contest. She began touring nationally in September 2016, and in December 2016 she performed in Europe for the first time as support for Low’s Christmas tour. This will be her second time performing at the Red Clay Music Foundry in Duluth, Georgia.
