Couple Behind Random Act of Kindness on MARTA Honored
Dunwoody's Al and Adelina Alberghini helped a young man with his necktie on MARTA, and have become famous for their kindness.
The Dunwoody man who assisted a young MARTA commuter with his neck tie -- a photo of which quickly went viral over the Internet -- was honored by the transit agency on Thursday morning ... along with the woman who made the touching moment possible.
Al and Adelina Alberghini were recognized during the annual State of MARTA Breakfast, reports Heneghan’s.
Back in mid-November, the couple was returning home from the airport when Adelina Alberghini saw the young man having trouble with his necktie. She asked her husband to help, and before Al Alberghini knew it, several people were snapping photos of the scene, according to the AJC.

Initially, the couple feared that the photos were going to be posted onto the Internet to embarrass the young man. Instead, the photo has gone viral because of the kind-heartedness being displayed.
Dunwoody City Councilman John Heneghan wrote on his blog, “Going viral for a simple act couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy but to be honest, both Mr. and Mrs. Alberghini deserve to be thanked for their many selfless years of service to this community as they have added so much.”
