Dunwoody Crime Report: Pedestrian Hit, Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles

The Dunwoody Police Department also responded to reports of vehicles that were forcibly broken into and made an arrest for rape.

A rundown of Dec. 15 calls by the Dunwoody Police Department:

  • A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Peeler Rd and Winters Chapel Rd. She was taken to Grady Hospital due to injuries to her hand, leg and head. The pedestrian was not in the crosswalk at the time of impact, which was confirmed by an independent witness.
  • Entering auto reported on Chardonnay Court. The suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a Coach wallet that contained a driver’s license and several credit cards. Occurred between 9 PM - 6:30 AM.
  • Burglary reported at 900 Ashwood Pkwy. The suspect removed a leaf blower from the fenced-in area on the property. Security found the item missing at 2:59 AM on 12-14-14.
  • Entering auto reported on Glenshire Place. The suspect rummaged through an unlocked vehicle. The owner is unaware of any items missing from the vehicle. Occurred between 8 PM - 9:27 AM.
  • Burglary reported on Old Springs House Lane. The suspect entered the location and removed various electronics, jewelry and clothing. Occurred between 12/12/14 at 5 PM - 9 AM hrs.
  • Officer Tedesco arrested a subject warranted for rape through Cobb County SO. He was taken into custody without incident.
  • Entering auto reported on Leeds Court. The suspect rummaged through an unlocked vehicle. The owner is unaware of any items missing from the vehicle. Occurred between 11:30 PM - 7AM.
  • Entering auto on Glenshire Place . The suspect entered the unlocked vehicle and removed several dollars in change that was located in the center console. At approximately 8:00 AM the homeowner observed a 80’s model El Dorado parked near his home that looked suspicious. As the homeowner approached the vehicle left the area.
  • Entering auto reported at the Olive Garden - Passenger side window broken out between 6:30 AM - 9:06 PM. Shopping bags were taken.
  • Entering auto reported at 4560 Olde Perimeter Pkwy (parking garage)-Rear passenger window broken out between 9:30 PM - 10:41 PM. Items was moved, but nothing was taken.
