UPDATED Dunwoody Votes 2014: State Legislature, County Commission Races

Voting totals as of 10:30 p.m. in DeKalb County.

Dunwoody voters helped select Georgia’s next governor, a United States senator, as well as contests for the state legislature, county commissioner, and ballot questions on whether to limit state income tax rates and to create a brain injury trust fund.

One of the more interesting races is the five-person contest for the DeKalb County Commissioner District 1 seat following former commissioner Elaine Boyer’s resignation. District 1 serves north DeKalb County, including Dunwoody, Brookhaven, Tucker and Smoke Rise.

The candidate with the fewest votes so far, with incomplete returns, is Thomas Mitchell Owens. Owens took out a temporary protective order last month against a reporter who says he was simply trying to get a political candidate to answer his questions.
