Missing Child Found, Doraville Dad Surrenders

An Amber alert was issued Friday for one-year-old Carter Willis Johnson, who was located by police in Florida.

The father of a one-year-old boy missing since Friday surrendered the child to police in Florida.

The boy's father, Willis Anthony Johnson, 31, abducted Carter Willis Johnson, on April 1, according to police. An Amber alert was issued Friday, with the statement that the boy was believed to be in extreme danger.

The elder Johnson was spotted in Florida, according to CBS46. State police maintained surveillance on Johnson while the boy's father called Doraville police, who convinced him to release the boy into custody.

Carter Johnson had last been seen by his mother on April 1 when she dropped the boy off at his father's for a court-ordered visit. The visit was only supposed to have lasted two days.
