Mom Fights Off Two Robbers in Home Invasion: Police

In Wednesday morning attack, they made off with her safe, say Dunwoody police.

DUNWOODY, GA — The Dunwoody police are searching for two armed men who broke into a woman's home early Wednesday morning, while she was taking her children to a bus stop, and attacked her when she returned, according to a police statement

The woman escaped her attackers after fighting them off, the police said on their Facebook page, but they made off with a safe containing her personal valuables.

The two men broke into the residence through an unlocked window at about 6:30 a.m. When she returned from the bus stop, they punched her in the face, struck her in the head with a handgun, and tackled her, "all while demanding money from her," the police said.
