1. Atlanta man accused of using fake bank statements to back $18K insurance claim (wsbtv.com) — State investigators say a man is facing insurance fraud and forgery charges after reporting a burglary to Dunwoody police and later submitting a counterfeit bank statement for an $18,000 claim. He was arrested on separate charges in Cobb County, then transferred to DeKalb County custody, where he remains jailed.
   

2. Star athletes take the field in 2026 (thechampionnewspaper.com) — Dunwoody football fans can watch quarterback Jack Quartaro build on a strong junior year, after throwing for over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. Running back and receiver Bradley Stephens also returns as the Wildcats' top offensive weapon, while standout players across DeKalb set up a highly competitive 2026 season.
   

3. MARTA bumps long-term parking fees by $2, reduces free parking window (11alive.com) — If you park at MARTA's Dunwoody station, expect higher long-term rates and a shorter free window starting Sept. 14. Free parking will drop from 24 to 14 hours, after which daily long‑term parking at Dunwoody and several other stations will cost $7.
   

4. Jeannie G. Haugh (heraldpubs.com) — A beloved educator and world traveler, Jeannie G. Haugh passed away in Dunwoody on July 24 while in the care of her brother and sister-in-law who live here. Her life spanned military childhood moves, decades as a respected school leader, and deep devotion to family and friends. Loved ones will honor her at a September 19 Mass in Annapolis, Maryland.
