Police: Distracted Driver in Dunwoody Almost Struck Child
Police cracking down on districted drivers after Friday incident.

Dunwoody Police are cracking down on distracted drivers after an incident near Chestnut Charter School, according to a MyFoxAtlanta report.
Tim Fecht with Dunwoody Police told Fox that a crossing guard saw a car coming that wasn’t slowing down.
“She had to get out and be more forceful with the sign and at that time the driver stopped within the crosswalk almost hitting a child,” he said.

When located, the unknown driver will face charges that include failure to yield to a crossing guard.

Dunwoody Police have stepped up patrols around schools, Fecht told WSB Radio.
“We’ll be out there, patrolling the areas and making ourselves very visible,” he said.
