Her body was discovered on the westbound side of the interstate near Roswell Road, said Momon.
Momon said the agency was initially informed of a possible animal blocking two or three lanes of the interstate. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered the form was a human body ”that apparently was struck by several vehicles” and was unrecognizable to motorists.
“Investigators have determined that the victim walked onto the interstate and was struck by a large vehicle, as determined by the skid marks,” Momon added.
