Police Ticket Drivers Who Don't Yield to Pedestrians
The Dunwoody Police Department is reminding drivers that pedestrians don't come with airbags, so yield at crosswalks.

Pedestrians don’t come equipped with airbags, warns the Dunwoody Police Department, which recently cracked down on drivers failing to yield at crosswalks.
After complaints from residents that drivers were ignoring pedestrian, the police department targeted several crosswalks on Dec. 9 and wrote tickets.
At the intersection of Tilly Mill Road and Dunwoody Glen, a plainclothes officer wearing a reflective safety vest used the crosswalk 39 times. Police say a total of 11 violations were observed, one of which resulted in an arrest for operating while unlicensed.
