Space Heater Sparks DeKalb Blaze

A family of 10 lost everything in the Wednesday morning fire, but no injuries were reported.

Eight adults and two children lost all their belongings in a house fire sparked by a faulty space heater Wednesday morning on Wedgefield Circle in DeKalb County.

While all 10 people living in the home escaped without injury, the residents told WSB TV everything they had was destroyed in the blaze.

The fire began about 2 a.m., DeKalb Fire Rescue says.

The Red Cross will house the family for two nights at a hotel, but the residents are unsure where they will live after that.
