Wireless Cell Antennas On City Council Agenda

The council meets Monday night at 6 pm.

The Dunwoody city council will tackle the issue of regulating wireless cell antennas again at Monday night’s meeting, beginning at 6 pm at City Hall.

On the agenda is a second reading of a new regulation designed to regulate the size and appearance of wireless cellular antennas in the public right of way.

The city’s planning commission has approved a change to city code allowing attachments to existing telecommunications towers as long if they don’t change the structure’s physical dimensions.

If the antenna adds more than 10 percent in height; extends more than six feet into the right of way; or 20 feet in width on private property, then a permit would be needed.
