City Joins 'Imagine a Day Without Water' Movement
One day without water would cost Atlanta's economy $100 million.

The city of Atlanta’s department of watershed management is launching a water supply program that will provide a minimum of 30 days of raw water.
As part of a national movement with the Value of Water Coalition, the city will “Imagine a Day Without Water” at the future home of Atlanta’s water supply, 900 Lois Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 am.
The program will tunnel about five miles between a quarry, the Hemphill Water Treatment Facility and the Chattahoochee River.
