The Third Friday Film Series will screen Parvez Sharma’s 2007 documentary, A Jihad for Love. The documentary, winner of the Best Documentary award at the Milan and Torino Lesbian and Gay Film Festivals, as well as the 2009 GLAAD Media Award, features gay, lesbian and transgender Muslims around the world.
Doors open at 7:00pm and the film begins at 7:30pm. Donations welcome on a sliding scale from $1 to $10. Plan to remain after the film for a discussion of this, the third film in the new series on LGBT issues.
