The East Atlanta Village Farmer's Market season begins with an official ribbon-cutting and ceremonial planting at the newly expanded site. Other opening activities continue in Cinco de Mayo style with a demo by Chef Seth Freedman of Ruby Root Connections, a piñata, face painting, yoga class and seasonal drink specials at The Midway Pub across the street. The move to the new location, made possible by a grant from The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, will allow more room for food vendors and the creation of an Edible Learning Garden.
