Murder Trial for Slain East Point Police Officer Set to Begin Wednesday
Danielle Alexis Parker has been accused murdering her estranged wife Crystal Parker in July of 2013.

A woman will soon face trial in Fulton County Superior Court for the July 2013 murder of her estranged wife, who was a member of the East Point Police Department.
Danielle Alexis Parker, 34, has been charged with murder, felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime for the July 4, 2013 killing of Cpl. Crystal Parker inside her home in College Park. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound to her head.
Police investigating the murder determined that Danielle Parker was the prime suspect in the murder, and she was arrested on July 9 in Fairburn.

Danielle and Crystal had lived together for approximately five years, but separated shortly before Crystal’s murder. Prosecutors will try to prove that jealousy was the motive which drove Danielle to kill Crystal, a seven year veteran of the department.
Parker’s murder trial will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday with jury selection.
