Paulding County man accused of severely beating a blind woman was arrested Saturday, according to the sheriff's office. Charles Brandon Ayers, 37, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon by deputies with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office without incident.

A South Cobb woman is imploring the public to help her find her dog, who was stolen during a break-in at her Mable home, Patch has learned. Vivian Simms said that along with her TV and jewelry, her beloed shih tzu, "Sassy," was nowhere to be found.
