eVestment Expands Portfolio Analysis Capabilities for Institutional Investors with Quantum Additions
eVestment continues to innovate with fintech solutions for institutional investors and investment managers.

Institutional investors are always looking for new tools to make the most informed, insightful decisions as they select and monitor managers, construct portfolios and assess risk in an effort to grow and protect assets. Recent updates to eVestment’s Quantum Analytics, including a new online risk assessment add-on, expand Marietta, Ga.-based eVestment’s portfolio analysis capabilities to meet these needs.
RiskPlus, now available through eVestment’s cloud-based Quantum Analytics solution, is designed for institutional investors and allocators who need to analyze risk in both traditional and alternative asset classes. RiskPlus allows clients to customize their risk analysis using tailor-made factor models, risk budgeting and user-defined stress tests to create a comprehensive, easy-to-interpret report that breaks down a portfolio’s risk and return components. With RiskPlus investors can conduct in-depth risk assessments of their portfolios in normal and non-normal markets.
Now a cloud-based component of Quantum, RiskPlus users get enhancements and updates to the program as soon as they are made, versus waiting to download new software. RiskPlus, offered in partnership with FinAnalytica, was previously only available as a desktop software program through eVestment’s PerTrac solutions.

In addition to more in-depth risk analysis capabilities, the Quantum solution has two new functions that also help investors with portfolio analysis:
· Contribution-to-Return Charts allow allocators to determine the contributors and detractors to performance using a returns-based approach. Users can track contributions-to-return on both an absolute and relative basis for monthly and quarterly timeframes, as well as a cumulative basis to see how investments are performing over longer time-frames.

· Exposure Grouping allows investors to look at a portfolio from all angles. Users can roll a portfolio up to an asset class, investment focus or strategy view in addition to a product-level view, allowing investors to easily assess that their overall portfolios are in line with their objectives.
“We’re constantly listening to our consultant, plan sponsor, investor and fund-of-funds clients to understand what they need to streamline processes and make even better investment decisions,” said eVestment co-founder and COO Matt Crisp (pictured). “These latest additions to Quantum were at the top of a lot of clients’ wish lists and also support a compelling migration for our PerTrac client base as they move to our suite of cloud-based solutions.”
