Gold Swimmer Commits to UNC-Wilmington
Evan Arsenault is a member of the year-round Chattahoochee Gold club team and the Walton High Raiders.

Evan Arsenault, 18, a senior at Walton High School, has accepted a swimming scholarship at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington this fall.
Evan represented Walton at the 2017 Ga High School State Championships held Feb 3-4 at Georgia Tech, and finished 2nd in the 50 Freestyle, 3rd in the 100 Freestyle, and was part of two Walton relays (200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay) that finished first and set two state records in the process.
At the Cobb County High School Championships she was the county champion in her signature events, the 50 and 100 yard Freestyle.

Her Chattahoochee Gold Swimming coach, Pat Murphy says “Evan is relatively new to year round competition and has only been training at this level for two and a half years. She has superb reflexes and is very explosive. She’s super-tough to beat at the end of her races and usually finds a way to win. Her sprint freestyle events are her strongest, and were instrumental in Walton winning the freestyle relays at the 2017 High School State Championship. She can make a great contribution to the UNCW squad even as a freshman, and I look forward to her re-writing that team’s record book.”
Chattahoochee Gold is one of first teams in the nation to achieve USA Swimming's Level Four status. Gold trains swimmers at the Mountain View Aquatic Center in East Cobb, Woodstock Aquatic Center, Cherokee County Aquatic Center in Canton and Cumming Aquatic Center.
