Woman Suing East Cobb Hotel For Bed Bug Bites

The woman claims the bites left unsightly scars that ruined her self-confidence and prompted doctors to consider amputating her leg.

An East Cobb hotel is facing a lawsuit filed by a customer who was scarred by bed bug bites and faced a possible amputation of her leg because of them.

WSB-TV reports that Dashawn Diaz is suing the Homewood Suites on Roswell Road following a three-day stay during which she claims she was attacked repeatedly by beg bugs. Diaz says Homewood Suites management eventually moved her to a different room, but not before the bed bugs left scars on her body which she claims have affected her dating life and self confidence.

Diaz also claims she was hospitalized later on, when one of the bed bug bites became infected. Doctors allegedly considered amputating her leg at one point.
