The event on Saturday, July 23, at Dwell1794, drew more than 30 volunteers and donations of clothes, backpacks, books and more. Georgia State students studying dental hygiene showed kids how to keep their teeth clean. Parents shopped for free at the YMCA's onsite fresh market, which provided corn, sweet potatoes, beans and other healthy foods.
After they picked out back-to-school clothes and supplies, kids and their parents enjoyed a bounce house, games of corn hole and face painting.
