• GBI Arrests Former Emerson Police Department Officer with Misuse of a License Plate Reader System (allongeorgia.com) — A former Emerson Police Department officer has been arrested on charges of misusing a license plate reader system and violating his oath of office, with alleged misconduct continuing after he joined the Emerson force in 2025. The GBI's investigation began at Acworth Police's request, and the case will now go to district attorneys in Bartow and Cobb counties for potential prosecution.
