GAINESVILLE, GA — A Hall County inmate is facing 400 new counts of child sexual exploitation, authorities said Tuesday.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Benjamin Larmar Gudmundson, 32, is facing the additional charges in connection with an ongoing child sexual abuse material investigation.
He had been in custody since May 20, 2025, when investigators served a search warrant at his home, authorities said. Several electronic warrants were seized, and Gudmundson was arrested on 20 counts of sexual exploitation of children, authorities aid.
While searching Gudmundson's cell phone and computer, authorities said they found at least 400 images and/or videos showing a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. A warrant for the new charges were issued Monday.
The investigation into Gudmundson began in February 2025, when authorities say they received two cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
He is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail.
"Processing of Gudmundson’s electronics is continuing," authorities said in a news release.
