- An estimated $24,000 worth of items were stolen from a Johns Creek New Year's Eve party. The resident of Jones Bridge Road, who said she is a manager for musicians, had a number of name-brand clothing and accessories stolen when her son had a party while she was out of town. The woman told the police on Jan. 6 that her son didn't know many of the guests and the night of watching football spiraled out of control. (Appen Media)
- According to Healthgrades, Emory Johns Creek Hospital has been named one of "America's Best Hospitals." The news was released on Jan. 17 that the Johns Creek hospital was fourth in the state for providing exceptional cardiology care.
