'America's Got Talent' Runner-Up Visits Johns Creek Students

Angelica Hale paid a visit to State Bridge Crossing Elementary School where she performed and signed autographs.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The progression for a student's education usually begins at preschool, and forges on to elementary school and into middle and high school. For Angelica Hale, a former State Bridge Crossing Elementary School fourth-grade student, that path started out the same, but has taken a dramatic turn.

Angelica's road to success has had a more exciting route, starting at preschool, continuing on to elementary school and making the leap to perform on "America's Got Talent." Angelica became the youngest runner-up ever on the show when she came in second place in season 12 in 2017.

Since then, she’s performed the National Anthem at sporting stadiums, on the "Today" show and at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. However, she took time out of her busy schedule last week to return to State Bridge Crossing and perform for her classmates on the last day of school.

Fulton County School Board member Linda McCain, Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker, and City Councilman John Bradberry were on hand for the show. Angelica stayed after her performance to sign autographs and tell the State Bridge Crossing students stories of her journey.
