App Allows Residents To Report Pot Holes, Illegal Signs

Residents can download the Johns Creek Fix It app for iOS or Android devices.

Alerting the city about public works problems and issues just got easier with the new Johns Creek Fix It app for mobile devices.

Residents can use the new app to report pot holes, litter, illegal sign, and other issues directly to the City’s Customer Service Department, the city said in a press release. The app also allows you to write a description or comment and take a photo to attach to the report.

“This enables citizens to help us keep up with various issues in a timely manner,” said City Manager Warren Hutmacher. “People can make a report on the spot while they’re thinking of it. It’s an easy way for citizens to report problems, and it assists us in ensuring a good quality of life in Johns Creek.”

Registration is required, but reports can be made anonymously.

The app also allows people to see where other reports have been made, and view and post comments. When the problem is addressed, a customer service representative will send an email to the reporting citizen.

In early December, Johns Creek released JC Now, a new smartphone application that pushes emergency notifications from the city, as well as providing access to all city interactive maps, news articles, council meeting agendas, social media and contact information.

JC Now alerts subscribers to timely problems, such as traffic issues and inclement weather. It also allows subscribers to find a business, locate addresses, and access City and neighborhood maps.

Both apps are free and work on iOS and Android platforms.
