Each month the Johns Creek Police Department releases crime and incident statistics from the previous month in its newsletter Cops Connect.
Here are April's numbers as published in the newsletter:
Service calls: 6,816

DUIs: 11
Traffic accidents: 140
The burglaries occurred at 5805 State Bridge Road, 10700 State Bridge Road, 10945 State Bridge Road, Valais Court, Nesbit Ferry Road (2), Arborwoods Drive (2), Lacosta Lane, Addison Lane and Autry Falls Drive.
The car break-ins occurred at Barsham Way, Buice Road, 5805 State Bridge Road, Haynes Bridge Road, 3150 Old Alabama Road (3), 5945 State Bridge Road, 9700 Medlock Bridge Road, 3115 Old Alabama Road, 3700 Old Alabama Road and 10945 State Bridge Road.
According to the newsletter, the top five intersections for vehicle accidents were (1) State Bridge and Medlock Bridge, (2) Abbotts Bridge and Medlock Bridge, (3) Hospital Parkway and Medlock Bridge, (4) State Bridge and Jones Bridge and (5) Medlock Bridge and Old Alabama.
According to the police department, there were no traffic fatalities in any of these incidents, with 24 percent reporting injuries. Most accidents happened on Fridays at night in clear weather and were caused by following too closely.
