Autrey Mill Students Complete Service On Superintendent's Advisory Council

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Two Autrey Mill Middle School students recently wrapped up a year of providing advice and feedback to State Schools Superintendent Richard Woods.
Eighth-grader Luke Michaelis and seventh-grader Nathan Cohen recently completed a year of service on the State Superintendent Advisory Council.
This was Michaelis' second year of service on the council. The council meets several times throughout the year to discuss how decisions made at the state level are affecting students throughout Georgia.

Members of the council are advisors who act as liaisons between the Department of Education and the students of Georgia.
Members are chosen by a committee of Georgia Department of Education representatives.
