Autrey Mill Unplugged Concert Series Returns Saturday

Johns Creek, GA -- The Autrey Mill Unplugged concert series highlights two artists combining their talents for an acoustic performance on Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center in Johns Creek.

The concert, held inside a wooden church dating back to the 1860s, will feature Jason Kenney of Dahlonega and CaroMia Miller of Asheville, N.C., playing tunes rooted in Americana.

Kenney, who plays guitar, mandolin and banjo, has released four full-length albums, including his latest, “Turn This Sorrow Into Joy,” and collaborated on many others, including Corey Smith’s “In The Mood” and “The Good Life.”

He has shared the stage with many talented artists including Jonathan Byrd, Corey Smith, Zac Brown, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Col. Bruce Hampton, Donna the Buffalo, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, John Keane, Larry Keel, Ike Stubblefield, Kevin Kinney, Darrell Scott, Jeff Mosier and The Atlanta Ballet.

A self-taught musician, Miller studied with South Indian masters, and traveled through India, north Africa and southeast Asia before busking her way through Europe. Her style draws from folk, soul, R&B and gospel. She has released two albums.

A pre-show social gathering begins at 7 p.m. inside the Summerour House, with complimentary refreshments and wine and beer for purchase. The concert starts at 8 p.m. in the Old Warsaw Church.

These concerts have been very popular, so please plan to arrive early.
