Avalon to celebrate Chanukah with Giant Menorah Lighting

December 22nd event will feature refreshments, festive entertainment and more

On Sunday, Dec. 22, the community is invited to join Chabad of North Fulton in celebrating the start of Chanukah with the third-annual Menorah Lighting at Avalon. From 5 to 6 p.m., guests can experience a traditional Menorah lighting ceremony, as well as holiday refreshments, music and exciting entertainment for all ages.

“Avalon is one of the North Fulton community’s most beloved gathering places, and we can’t think of a better destination to bring our traditions to life each year,” says Rabbi Hirshy Minkowicz, director of Chabad of North Fulton. “We look forward to once again shining a light on Chanukah with this cherished celebration at Avalon.”

The Menorah lighting kicks off Chanukah, an eight-day wintertime festival of lights. This free community event will take place in Avalon’s Boulevard East Courtyard, located in front of Jeni’s Ice Creams. For more information, visit: experienceavalon.com/events. Guests are encouraged to share their experience using #AvalonHoliday2019.
