Banks and Shane Concert Helps Homeless North Fulton Families

Residents throughout north Fulton County are invited to attend a concert that will raise money to help a Roswell-based nonprofit dedicated to serving the homeless.

The Banks and Shane Concert BBQ will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 14 at Chukkar Farm, which is at 1140 Liberty Grove Road in Alpharetta.

Atlanta-based music duo Banks & Shane will provide the entertainment while attendees can enjoy fresh barbecue meals. Proceeds from the event will benefit HomeStretch, a nonprofit that helps homeless families throughout the area.

HomeStretch began in 1991 when North Fulton Community Charities volunteers began to realize the need to provide affordable housing to residents living in their service area.

The organization works to address the causes of homelessness and helps its clients return to a stable life. To do this, HomeStretch offers support such as financial assistance, literacy classes, vocational training, job readiness skills, transportation assistance, emotional support, as well as transitional and affordable housing.
