Beautiful Gidget Is Ready For Her Forever Home!

Meet "Gidget Stanley"!  She is a black Labrador mix dog who is 2 years old, and weighs in at a wonderful 50 pounds of pure love and joy!

Gidget is spayed, crate-trained and house-trained.  She has been trained to view her crate as a wonderful place to go into and is very happy when she gets her "treat" from her foster parent for being such a good girl!  Gidget is also up-to-date on all her shots, vetting, and is microchipped and ready to go to her forever home and family.

This wonderful girl is very good around other larger dogs and kids.  Due to her exhuberance and joy of being around others, she would be better suited in a family without smaller children so there wouldn't be any chance of accidentally knocking them over in playing around them.  Gidget isn't fond of kitties, so a home without cats would be best for her.  Also, she does best with dogs who are her own size, from a pack standpoint.

To be sure, our Gidget girl is full of energy, and she loves to work out that energy by playing, running, playing fetch for hours at a time in the backyard with her humans.  But that isn't her only wonderful trait: this girl is also a world-class champion snuggler and loves nothing better than gifting her people with lots of wonderful, sloppy kisses!!  She is very smart, and is always eager to learn new tricks and commands - she's a pleaser and nothing keeps her interested and eager to please like learning and showing off for her owners.

One of the neat things about Gidget is she isn't standoffish at all - in fact, she totally loves and needs to be close to her people at all times.  She's definitely a pack member and looks to her humans to be the leader in her pack. 

The best, most ideal home for Gidget would be a home with a big backyard to run and play in to her heart's content.  Her yard would also need to be fenced in with a secure, locked gate.  One that comes with a pool would be even more wonderful, as this girl adores playing in water (except when it comes to bath time!).  Honestly, her requirements are few: a warm, comfortable bed to sleep in at night or when she's worn out from all her playing, an owner who would hopefully be home part to most of the day, maybe a family who would take her on walks, runs and hikes in the woods.  

Most of all, someone who would understand that this dear little rescued girl has been through a lot in her short lifetime and just wants a real home and family of her very own that will last for a lifetime.  Are YOU that home and heart this sweet girl is longing for?
