Blotter: License Plate & Wallet Thefts

The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department.

Thefts

On June 11 a customer at Just Fitness on State Bridge Road reported that once he returned to his vehicle after completing his workout he found that his license plate had been stolen. There were no witnesses around.

On June 15 a customer at  on Hospital Parkway reported that he accidentally left his wallet on the counter after he checked out and left the store. He returned a short time later and found it missing. The victim stated that he checked with the manager and cashier who checked him out and both said they had not seen the wallet. The victim stated that he believed the customer who had been in line behind him had taken his wallet, and that he wanted to see surveillance video. The police officer responding to the call asked to see the video, but the manager said he was filling in at that store and did not have access to it. In the meantime a store associate reported that a wallet had been turned into the pharmacy. The victim retrieved his wallet and said that all of his credit cards were there, but an undisclosed amount of cash was missing. The pharmacy tech stated that the store's regular manager had turned the wallet in through the pharmacy's drive-through window. The officer spoke with the manager on the phone, who said that he found the wallet in the parking lot as he was leaving for the evening.
