Bob Gray Resigns From Johns Creek City Council
Gray is one of 18 candidates running in the special election to fill Georgia's 6th Congressional District.
JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Johns Creek City Council is down one less person.
That's because Bob Gray has formally resigned from the seat to move forward with his race in the special election to fill Georgia's 6th Congressional District.
Gray was first elected to the Post 4 seat in July 2014.

City spokesperson Jeff Breslau said the city intends to have a special election to fill the vacant Council seat, but details have yet to be finalized.
Gray was among 18 candidates who qualified this week to run for the seat, which became open when Tom Price was confirmed to lead the Department of Health and Human Services for President Donald Trump's administration.

The 11 Republicans, including Gray, who qualified are: David Abroms, Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan, Keith Grawert, Karen Handel, Judson Hill, Amy Kremer, Bruce LeVell, William Llop, Dan Moody, and Kurt Wilson.
Five Democrats – Ragin Edwards, Richard Keatley, Jon Ossoff, Rebecca Quigg, and Ron Slotin – and Independents Alexander Hernandez and Andre Pollard also qualified for the seat.
The special election will be held Tuesday, April 18 for the district, which covers north Fulton County and parts of Cobb and DeKalb counties.
