Are Your Bags Packed?

Passengers win a small battle with airline fees.

"All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go," oh wait a minute, I have to check how many bags I'm allowed, how much I'm paying, whether to carry on or not to carry on, and so on.

The airlines' ever changing rules of what passengers can and cannot do has finally taken a turn for the good of all passengers.

To put it simply, the airlines will have to disclose what we are paying in extra fees when purchasing a ticket.

Christopher Elliot, a writer for Arthur Frommer, my favorite travel guru, explains in an interesting article, link below.

With all the changes in the past few years regarding airline fees, this is a small victory for the passenger. When Ryan Air thought about charging for use of the bathroom onboard its inter-European flights, I thought, oh...., what next. Thank goodness it never happened. Whether we are affected by these silly rules or not, it is a good sign that the government is finally stepping in to make some headway for the casual and business traveler. Yippee!
