BB's is the BBest!

What's a bagel? What's a flagel? If you are from New York, you know exactly these things are. If you've never had a New york bagel, try BB's. You will not be disappointed.

What's a bagel? Its a delicious, round, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, breakfast-must if you come from New York. The best bagels are, by far, those in New York. They tell me its the water and I believe it. The best tap water on the planet!

If you don't know what a bagel is, you certainly won't know what a flagel is. Explaination: Bagel- chewy round doughy bread with a hole in the middle. Flagel: flatten the bagel and remove the dough. You have a flagel.

BB's bagels delivers the tasty New York bagel right here on State Bridge Road. There's another one, the original, on McFarland. The two restaurants are very different. The atmosphere on McFarland is a bit more like a New York diner. A real one. The servers all have attitude, but serve you with the precision of a skilled surgeon. They are friendly, even when at their busiest, but, you know, with that New York attitude. They are actually from New Jersey. Same thing.

The State Bridge shop currently has order-at-the-counter service, but this will soon change. It seems the Johns Creek residents like to sit down and be served. BB's will comply to make everyone happy.

The best thing about BB's is the authentic "deli" food. Here they don't just put the name "New York Deli" on the menu, they actually know what the food should taste like in one. The bagels are big, but tasty. The pastrami, mwah, delicious! The breakfast menu has a variety of eggs, egg sandwiches and pancakes. My dad loved pancakes. The lunch menu is limited, but serves you up a nice selection of sandwiches, burgers, chicken (yuck, I'm not eating that), etc. All are accompanied with a side and a pickle. I do so wish they had real half-sour Kosher pickles.

I think BB's is the exception to the delis of Atlanta, making it one of my favorite places for Sunday morning networking and schmoozing with the neighbors. Have a go of it and I am sure you will find the menu and food to your liking. If not, fugetaboutit and stick to what you think is a real New York Bagel.
