Dealing With Combination Skin
Combination skin should be treated as two different skin types.

Back from a great trip to the Indy 500! Yes, my first one and loved it!! Talk about adrenaline rush... incredible.
Now back to business and today we are on to the next skin type! Last week we talked about DRY SKIN and this week we will talk about COMBINATION SKIN.
So, do you tend to feel that some parts of your skin are oily and the others dry? Does your forehead, nose and chin have sheen and when you rub them you feel they are oily? But when you rub your cheeks or your hands they are dry, then you have combination skin.

The cause of combination skin really has to do with oil-producing glands that produce more oil than normal. Dryness is primarily caused by the environment, age and genetics.
This type of skin is very common, and it should be treated as if it were two different types of skin. The first line of defense in combination skin is keeping the skin clean. Always remove your makeup before going to bed. Avoid using soaps or cleansers which are perfumed or colored, as these can irritate the skin. Also avoid using cleansers that are formulated for very oily skin, as this can irritate the parts of the skin that are dry.
