Response to Mambo Jambo Overwhelming!

Thanks to all of you who visited George at Mambo Jambo. This week's blog is about Rosa Mia. It gets my vote for the freshest and most delicious Italian food this side of the "pond."

Hello all. I have just heard that I am famous. I'm a real blogger with actual followers. This is the most exciting thing to happen to me in a while  sad I know!). Yippee, maybe YouTube for my next gig.

To all my readers who went to visit George at Mambo Jambo, thanks. I would love to hear about your experiences. What did you eat, or not eat? Be perfectly honest. The Food Snob, aka Babs Diener, anxiously awaits your response.

I was with friends, last night, who were asking me about all the places I frequent for dining in, and not in, Johns Creek. I was happy to tell them that although I like some restaurants here, most of my favorites are not in Johns Creek.

Can I be perfectly honest here? Johns Creek is a bedroom community filled with lovely families looking to take the kids to an inexpensive, fast and easy dinner. That type of dining experience leaves me, well, hungry for more . The ambiance I seek is not at the local Applebee's. I'm not saying anything bad about Applebee's or the like, but it's not where I choose to find my "experience culinaire agreable!" I choose to dine in interesting restaurants where the food is better than good and the presentation magnifique!

Such a place exists here in Johns Creek, Rosa Mia. Have you ever been there? Rosa and Maria are two hard-working woman serving the best Italian food this side of the "pond." They are dedicated to presentation, excellent customer service and the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming . Rosa and Maria greet every patron as if they are family. I feel like one of their sisters!

The Sangria here is amazing, as are all the dishes I have tried. The lasagna, made with Bechemal sauce, is outstanding. The menu is small but there are specials every weekend. I have had the spaghetti with lobster, OMG, it's over the top fabulous. The menu changes with Rosa and Maria seeking out seasonal delights. The chef then prepares new and exciting dishes for us to savour.

If you go in, tell them Barbara Diener sent you. It's not going to get you a discount, but it's nice to know that my neighbors are meeting each other to enjoy good food, good friends and a friendly local restaurant where we can feel at home.

Buon Appetito!
