The Adventures of Little Noodle: Two Thumbs Up!

Little Noodle learns important lessons about healthy food choices, exercise, how to respond to bullies and the importance of liking yourself. Your child will also as they follow her journey back home.

My two great-neices, who are both 5 years old, "took" me to see "The Adventures of Little Noodle" at the Center for Puppetry Arts last Sunday afternoon. Katie and Jetta both LOVED the show and they think your kids would love it also!

Set in a grocery store, Adventures of Little Noodle follows the title characater as she makes her way home through the store after being swept away from her parents. Along the way, Little Noodle meets many quirky characters who all have opinions on how she should eat and live.

Perfect for families with children ages 4 and older, Adventures of Little Noodle focuses on four main tenets: make healthy eating choices, stay active, love yourself and be respectful of others. Little Noodle solicits audience participation throughout the show, allowing several opportunities for kids to interact with the story and help guide the pint-sized pasta toward healthy choices. As the audience gets in on the healthful action, they travel along with Little Noodle as she learns messages of self-respect, healthy eating and anti-bullying.

The girls loved the audience participation. They were asked to climb and run in place, while remaining seated, to help Little Noodle. They had to answer questions and make decisions along with Little Noodle. They loved the music and upbeat songs in the show and also the colorful neon rod puppets. And without even realizing it, they also learned a lot about making healthy eating choices, how to respond to bullies and about loving yourself and others, no matter what they look like.

After the show, we went to the Puppet Workshop and made our own cute Little Noodle to take home. This is actually their favorite part of every visit. On the ride home, I asked if they enjoyed Little Noodle and they began to ask if I would please, please, please take them back to see it again! I think that's a big YES!
